Helpful Hints

Be sure to read your insurance policy to become familiar with your physical therapy coverage. Your first appointment may take up to an hour since the therapist will want to take a detailed history of your injury as well as perform a thorough examination.

Many times you may be asked to perform exercises using gym equipment. Loose fitting clothes such as t-shirts and shorts are best. Gym shoes are also a good choice.

If you do not understand a procedure or exercise, please ask. We will be glad to answer any questions or re-demonstrate an exercise.

You may also be given exercises to perform at home. We ask you comply with us in these circumstances. We are only trying to ensure you recover from your injury. Please, tell your therapist if your injury is aggravated by activities at home.

We want to help you recover in the most effective way possible. As always, communication is key. Please, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, do not hesitate to talk with us about your physical therapy. This is your recovery, and we are thankful to assist you in this time.
