I was born and raised in Bloomington-Normal and after graduating from high school I went onto the United States Marine Corps. After about 6 years of service with two deployments, and multiple combat mission my time in the military came to an end. I then focused on getting my civilian life back by starting with college and working. After several years, I took an EMT course and eventually started working in the Emergency Room and from there I found my direction into Physician Assistant program and eventually graduated from Midwestern University in 2003.
I went on to an Orthopedic and Sports Medicine clinical internship in San Diego, CA. where I worked with the MLB, NFL and Olympic team physicians. I took my first job in 2004 and have been working in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine ever since, which lead me to an opportunity to working in Charlotte, NC with the NFL, MLB and NASCAR teams and their team orthopedic team physicians. I have gained additional experience with orthopedics and the emergency room with trauma call which has also led to working part time in the Emergency Departments in various locations.
Over the past 20 years, I have gained various experiences working alongside and learning from other physicians. In my practice, I hope to connect with patients by explaining the anatomy and physiology that play a part of their symptoms and give them treatment plans and options that can led to a successful recovery.
